QUALITY OF LIFE:
Wow! What a beautiful outpouring of love and generosity were brought forth at our summer workshops! We asked for donations of school supplies and healthy snacks for the St. Mary’s Mission School in Red Lake, and you filled their shelves to the fullest.
They were so thrilled and appreciative with the large number of backpacks (over 75), paper (over 7500 sheets), notebooks (over 100), pens (over 250), pencils (over 1000), scissors (over 50), glue sticks (over 150), erasers (over 100), crayons (over 50 boxes), markers (over 20 sets), and supply cases (over 40), and healthy snacks (over 40 packages) that they couldn’t find room for it all!
In fact, they said we supplied them with all they needed for the next two years even before our northern workshops began, so they asked if we would request some outdoor clothing and household items for their members as they could not handle any more school supplies space wise.
We did our best to get the word out, but we still received a lot of donations of school supplies at our northern workshops, so we overstocked the mission school shelves and with the overflow supplies we were able to help some other schools throughout the state with students who were in need. Thank you all for your generosity!
